Pulwama Police in order to bridge the gap between general public and police for better coordination, facilitated a PCPG meeting at Police Post Newa Pulwama. The session was presided over by the newly posted SSP Pulwama Ms. PD Nitya-IPS along with, Station House Officer Police Station Pulwama Insp. Azim Iqbal and DO Newa. The huge gathering around 300-400 witnessed the participation of Lumberdars, Chowkidars, and respected individuals from Newa and its adjacent villages.
During the engaging meeting, participants raised a spectrum of general concerns affecting the community. Addressing these grievances, the presiding officer provided assurances that genuine concerns would be accorded top priority. Furthermore, a commitment was made to extend every possible assistance to the residents of the area, and issues falling under the jurisdiction of civil administration would be promptly taken up with the relevant departments for swift resolution.
The participants were stressed to cooperate with Police in maintaining Law and Order and curbing the drug menace in the area and in identifying the anti-national/anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment/atmosphere. The participants commended the police initiative, expressing full support in addressing social issues. The emphasis on police-community cooperation highlighted the significance of creating a secure and harmonious environment.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with the commitment that police and public will work in tandem towards eradicating the evils in the society.
