Shopian, April 07: The Shopian Working Journalist Association (SWJA) expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Ghulam Hassan Dar, resident of Pargochi, Shopian, the beloved father of senior reporter and columnist Rashid Hassan Dar.
Ghulam Hassan Dar passed away today at a Srinagar’s Hospital after a prolonged illness. The SWJA and the media fraternity Shopian extended heartfelt condolences to Rashid Hassan Dar and the bereaved family during this difficult time.
In a statement, the SWJA prayed for patience and strength for the grieving family and sought Almighty’s mercy for the departed soul. “May Allah grant him a place in Jannah and give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement read.
Colleagues, friends, and well-wishers also joined in offering their sympathies, remembering the late Ghulam Hassan Dar for his kindness and contributions to the community.
Final prayers were held at their ancestral home in Pargochi, with burial taking place at the local graveyard.
