Failure

Failure – the most important feature of success

“Success is most often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable.” – Coco Chanel

An éclat vision of a human mind hankering to fulfil the quests, effectuating our fantasies into reality is no doubt in the Homo sapiens nature to conquer the highest levels of psychological ambitions set by our desirous intentions, that basically drive the functioning of our better survival instincts. We learn to prosper, to emerge out as snowdrops, to imbibe knowledge, to glide high amongst the stars to keep shining. Our aspirations become our inspirations.

The levels of our enthusiasm with which we soar high when we set out to fulfil them apprise us of how well prepared we ought to be. What gets fantasizing attention more often is the Utopian phase on the fulfilment of our ambitions, without the proper awareness about something of vital importance which needs to be accentuated is often times ignored, only because of it being considered a bane in our journey that nobody wishes to encounter, thereby hampering our meticulously planned dream to a halt of a permanent nowhere.

Failure, as an element is alienated from the journey of success to such an extent that most of us out of its fear don’t even start. Just because it restricts our plan doesn’t infer it restricts our ability to grow. On the contrary, it prepares us rather in much better ways for the worse outcomes ahead than success does. Treating it as a part of the road, no matter how long the process takes, schools us beyond our strategized mental formulations. Yes, failure is not attractive or enjoyable to be involved in but what makes it worse is perceiving merely “tripping” due to a small bump, as “falling off” from a cliff. An injustice not just to one’s own self, but to one’s dreams too.

The outcome of lacking such restraint in facing our failures in our attitudes takes a toll on not just the plans we came up with to reach our Utopia, but also begins to eat up our existence in the present scenarios due to other banes like anxiety, under confidence, inability to revive self-worth and moving on. Often times it leads to such forms of overthinking where it becomes nearly impossible to cope up giving a way to depression or self-harm. All this occurs due to the unwillingness to accept failure as a part of the process. We see it as a bad omen or a tainted mark which as per our calculative strategies never meant to show up at the first place, forget encountered. This is a foolish inference to ponder on.

The essence of living lies in facing both the ups and downs of life. Even if we try to succeed without failing, making sure on every step that we don’t fall, it would be an accomplished journey yes, but not a complete one.

Failure becomes the crown of all those who never give up. Comparably to success, it has an abundance of treasures hidden within it that guides a person even after fulfilling their desires. The moment we realize that failing at something is the next step to being successful, that’s when we adopt the appropriate attitude of setting out to attain success. Not just because it prepares us for the worst, but because the most important evidence of success existing, is failure itself.
