Srinagar : Rajya Sabha member A. A Rahim has written a letter to the Home Minister Amit Shah and exhorted upon him to cancel the contract awarded to Aptech, a private firm engaged for the conduct of examinations for various posts.
“Aptech Pvt. Ltd, accused of malpractices in hiring process is condemnable. The same company has been blacklisted in many states due to complaints of malpractice in conduct of exams. The High Court of Delhi already convicted them of carrying out schemes. Also , there are many cases ongoing against Aptech Pvt Ltd in several courts of the country”, reads the letter.
The letter said that recruitment scams and malpractices can have severe consequences on job aspirants who invest time and effort into preparing for exams only to be disqualified due to paper leaks or other anomalies. Such practices also undermine public trust in government institutions and create a culture of cynicism and apathy.
Rahim has sought the intervention of the Home Minister to cancel the company’s engagement in JKSSB’s selection process.
